Les Prairies de la Mer

Enjoy a 'do-as-you-please' holiday on France's beautiful Cote d'Azur.

The main entrance to Les Prairies de la Mer is adjacent to the picturesque village of Port Grimaud, and the soft, sandy, beach is just 300m from your Siesta Lodge.

As shown in the aerial photo (above) our accommodations are located in two sectors :

  • Siesta Sector 'A'
    This was our original location which is situated immediately behind the site's main reception and service areas and the main boulevard leading to the centre of the site. In this Sector (A), behind our own Siesta Reception Bureau, we offer  Siesta 4's, Siesta 5's, Siesta  6's in addition to several Deluxe 8's.

  • Siesta Sector 'B'
    Very close-by (50mtrs.from Sector 'A'), and even closer to the beach and entertainments, we offer some additional Siesta 6's, Siesta 8's and some more Deluxe 8's.
    These units are located by another access road leading to the beach areas of the site and are immediately adjacent to the supermarket, craft-stalls, take-aways, childrens amusements/rides etc. and the central bar with regular live entertainments - on some entertainment-nights finishing at midnight.

Some clients find Sector A "more private and quiet" at certain times, and as a result prefer their Lodge to be located in this sector. Similarly many other clients preferred the location and vibrant holiday atmosphere of our Sector 'B' and prefer their Lodge to be in this sector.

Our Opinion : Prairies de la Mer is an ideal base to visit this beautiful region, or to enjoy a relaxing and care-free holiday. A car is especially beneficial due to the many places of local interest nearby. We particuarly recommend this resort for couples and older families.

NB. Currency Exchange
The on-site Currency Exchange will change Sterling Travellers Cheques or Bank of England bank notes only. Travellers cheques in Euros can be exchanged at a bank in one of the local towns a short drive or bus drive away (NOT in Port Grimaud), however all banks are closed Sundays & Mondays.

There are also a couple of ATM machines in Port Grimaud village but you should check with your card provider if you will be charged for withdrawing cash overseas.

This is a 'Families & Couples' location, not suitable for singles.
Silence rules apply after midnight and are enforced by on-site security.

Booking Regulations for Prairies de la Mer also restrict the following

  •  
    • Group bookings by request only
    • Associated bookings of more than 3 units by request only
    • No single-sex bookings
    • No vehicles to be used on-site between Midnight-08:00am
    • Accommodations are available for occupation only by the
           persons named on your Siesta Accom-Voucher.

CAR PARKING : One car parking space per Lodge is available free of charge, however, the actual location of the parking space can vary therefore if you are arriving by car please ensure that you inform us well in advance (any information you have given us appears in the 'Special Requests' section of your holiday invoice).

Please Note : motorhomes/campervans or trailers are not permitted unless a suitable emplacement has been booked privately directly with Prairies de la Mer.

Important : 

Poplar Tree Catkins
The poplar trees on-site shed catkins from approximately early-May until mid-June which gives a fluffy, snow-like, covering to all areas during this period. Although it is a completely natural occurance it can neverless be a nuisance and we therefore wish to make our clients aware.

 

HOG Euro Festival

The Harley-Davidson Owners Group holds an annual event at the site, this lasts for 4 days and many thousands attend. The event can be overwhelming for some people also the usual rule of 'no noise after midnight' does not apply during this event. In 2011 the Euro Festival will take place 12th to 15th May.
